On 17 November 2023, Parish Council, Town Councils and community groups came together for our first annual Huntingdonshire Climate Conversation Conference at Burgess Hall in St. Ives. The event consisted of a range of guest speakers to showcase some of the fantastic things organisations have been doing to respond to the Climate Crisis and provided a space for all to connect, collaborate, share ideas and network.
The day after on the 18th November, Huntingdonshire District Council welcomed families and residents to Hinchingbrooke Country Park to learn more about what each of us can do to take on Climate Action and support nature. The day was enjoyed by many with hands-on activities, which included making wormeries, nature Christmas stars and even mini bug hotels! It was also a space to talk about our changing climate and explore what each of us can do to make a difference.
Tackling climate change needs individuals, communities and organisations across Huntingdonshire to come together to work for change. That’s why we’re asking residents, local businesses and organisations like yourselves to complete a short survey to keep the Climate Conversation going and share and celebrate what’s happening in your area.
